The interest in historical cinema has been an ongoing trend in contemporary documentaries over the past decade. Dedicated to bring and show the best of both national and international historical documentaries in Bulgaria, DOCK team approached Amity with the task of developing the full branding concept for the festival’s first issue. We started with the brand naming which captures the essence of the festival in a wordplay – located in Burgas, known for its docks, and displaying documentaries. The graphic concept is based on simplicity and а union of shapes and illustration. The design aimed to give an up-to-date, relaxed and fresh feel. Our team prepared the festival’s promotional materials as well – staring from billboards to pencils and stickers. The simplicity and flexibility of the visual identity was a key factor to doing so.
