Bulgarian Еagle is a new airline brand part of the Germania Airlines – a company with long traditions. Amity was commissioned to create a new logotype for them. From the beginning our approach was – ‘Less is More’. We wanted to be built the new identity on the symbolic meaning of the Eagle. Therefore, we created а simple, accessible and recognizable symbol. The color combination brings uniqueness, emotion and modernity. Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is associated with stability, trust and wisdom. Green expresses life and renewal and has а strong emotional correspondence with safety. The wordmark is based on the Frutiger Next font, which is a new interpretation of the well known Adrian Frutiger’s typeface. We also worked on the cyrillic adaptation of the wordmark to have a corresponding brand communication in the native language of the company. The new Bulgarian Eagle logo expresses the company’s core values – confidence, reliability and safety.
